We had a bit of a break over the Christmas/New Year period, but now we are back and getting into the swing of a more hopeful 2021. We are super excited about producing our first hard copy of Secrets since March, 2020. There have been a few attempts to publish earlier, but Covid restrictions loomed large making it unviable. However, it’s time to move on and we will be back soon with a new look and a new website – let’s get on with 2021.
A Look Back
As we move to a new era for Secrets Magazine, we thought we would visit some of our best stories through the years. This one is about Don O’Connor of Timber Benders. Sadly we lost Don and his partner Sue in 2016, however this story of a true artisan is as relevant today as it was then. Story & photography by Hilary Finch. Read Hilary’s story here
A-camping we will go, a camping we will go …
A great way to round out the school holidays or indeed at any time, is a short camping trip and there is no better place to go than the Pyrenees region. Alana Burge from Pyrenees Shire Council says “Being trapped on home soil – and many in their own states – people are flocking to explore their own backyards, creating a spike in domestic tourism”. Something this magazine has advocated for years. Learn more about the Pyrenees here
