Do you feel like your stuck in a basket with nowhere to go? News reports are indicating that the drawbridge may be partially lowered in the not too distant future. That is hopeful, but it will still be difficult to recover, especially for eateries, as it appears that they will be the last to reopen. Our towns and the region as a whole needs those businesses to remain viable as they are the lifeblood of our communities. They bring in tourists and tourists bring in business and business is what we all rely upon.
When that drawbridge is lowered and people return to our towns, they need to know where they can get that bite to eat and that special coffee, not to mention what to see and where to stay. Secrets Magazine is adding a new section to our website listing those businesses, making it easy for the traveller and the backyard tourists to find them. These pages will be organic and will change as we receive new businesses wishing to be included, however as it is new, please give us a week or two to make it ready for publishing. In the meantime if you wish to list your business, give us a call on 0427 103 217 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no charge to be listed.
The mandatory shutdown hasn’t been all bad. Most of us have rediscovered books and now that we’re back into the habit of reading, let it continue. We have been talking to Sue-Ellen from The Story Unfolds preloved books in Creswick and we’re delighted to learn that once we’re allowed out again, she will be reopening her bookshop. Keep an eye on The Story Unfolds Facebook page and watch this space to find out when.

We’ve been calling around to find out if there are any markets still operating and all we could find was Lancefield Farmers Market and Malmsbury Village Farmers Market running on the 3rd Sunday of each month. We’ll keep checking.
