A busy weekend coming up

Fingers crossed for good weather this coming weekend. Even if it’s a bit ordinary, you’ll want to throw on a coat, grab an umbrella and head out to catch one, two or three events that are on offer. Creswick’s Garden Lover’s Weekend, Macedon Ranges Wine + Food Festival, a bit of opera with Oh Solo Me show, Ballarat’s Frolic Festival, Bendigo’s Blues & Roots Festival to name just a few.

Simone & Glenda from Miss Northcott’s Garden & Olicartia

This is the newest pretty little spot in Creswick. Simone Broad (seen here with Mum Glenda) has been working hard on the very cute Miss Northcott’s Cottage ready to open this weekend. The new showroom and garden is adjacent to her equally pretty gift, come florist shop Olicartia.

Embark on a journey of discovery at the Macedon Ranges Wine + Food Festival On the weekend of 9 and 10 November over 25 wineries nestled in laneways across the Macedon Ranges come to life for the Festival. Buses available to ferry visitors around. https://www.macedonrangeswineandfoodfest.com.au/

Oh Solo Me Show In an all new show renowned tenor, Martin Thomas Buckingham, seamlessly blends the subtle complexity of classical recite, with the often bizarre hi-jinks of stand up comedy. Drawing from a career spanning 20 years, Buckingham traverses the gamut of repertoire. Sat. 9th Nov – 7.30pm Palais Theatre, Hepburn and Sunday 10th Nov – 2pm St. Andrews Uniting Church Creswick. http://www.operavandiemensland.com
