Not sure when this last happened. Easter break so close to Anzac Day has set up an opportunity for many to take an extended break. Using leave days, many people are taking extra days off work for either a 10 day break, or two four day weekends and there are lots of Easter Treats to offer in our region. Sailors Falls is only 6km from the Daylesford township and it boasts a gorgeous walk for those who love to get out and about in the bush. Take the fabulous new Parks Victoria stairs down to the creek trail, falls and mineral springs where this forested loop walk begins. Dogs permitted, but must be on lead. Can be slippery underfoot in wet weather.
The Vollard Suite is a National Gallery of Australia exhibition now in its final few weeks at the Ballarat Art Gallery, the only Victorian venue for this national tour. The first Bendigo Easter Fair, was held in 1871. The fair was considered such a success that it has been held every year since, making it Australia’s longest ongoing community festival!
