DISTILLATIONS IN PAINT
Visit The Old Auction House in Kyneton starting this weekend to see Melbourne-based artist Susie Monte’s exhibition Distillations, abstract artworks with bold colours and great shapes. 25 January to 12 February. Open daily. www.theoldauctionhouse.com.au/

SAIL AWAY
At the annual Festival of Sails in Geelong you can watch the largest keelboat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere in a carnival atmosphere with live music including Mental as Anything, food trucks, market stalls, waterski and flyboard shows and even a Discover Sailing program! COFFEE AND FOOD TO LOVE

A NEW ERA IN ANTIQUE FAIRS

LOVE A LIFE OF MUSIC
Come along to Maldon Vintage Machinery Museum to see a great show in a unique setting, complete with vintage machinery, steam engines and steam rollers. Chris Wilson & Friends and even more friends is bound to be a fun night. Saturday January 27 at 6.45pm. www.trybooking.com/

NOTHING TO LOSE
To keep the music ball rolling, why not see the Tommyhawks performing live in Ballarat on Wednesday January 31 or Thursday February 1 at 8pm? The Tommyhawks have found a sweet spot between rollicking folk melodies and punk-infused blues. www.thetommyhawks.com/about

BIG MOUNTAINS, HUGE SOUNDS
To really get into the music zone, Grampians Music Festival is on in Halls Gap on the first weekend in February, offering some of the best up-and-coming acts from across Australia. February 2 to 4. https://grampiansmusicfestival.com/

KEEBLES SUMMER FAIR
Keebles will be hosting a Summer Fair on February 11. A celebration of the garden in summer, featuring food, wine, coffee, artists and artisans. For families and friends in a beautiful setting. www.facebook.com/events/

FOUR SEASONS OF MUSIC
The Four Seasons Fine Music Festival was a great success in its opening year in 2017, and is back with more shows per season in 2018. The shows will be performed in historical churches in Creswick and Clunes, beginning with Summer on February 17 and 18. https://ballaratanglican.org.au

ANTIQUES IN A HISTORIC TOWN
The Maldon Antique & Collectables Fair has become a must for buyers and sellers, with one and a half kilometres of stalls set out in Maldon’s football ground. Now in their tenth year they have an amazing 120 stalls. Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 February. www.maldon.org.au/
