The 2017 Ballarat Cabaret Festival in three venues

Tonight’s the night!  The 2017 Ballarat Cabaret Festival starts with a bang tonight with the Opening Night Party. Take to to the dance floor as The Bachelors From Prague take to the stage at 8pm. The Costume Designer – Edith Head and Hollywood – Now at Bendigo Art Gallery

Edith Head is considered the most significant costume in the history of cinema.  In her 50 year career, first at Paramount Pictures and later at Universal Studios, the American born designer worked closely with many of Hollywood’s most important stars on close to a thousand films.  The Costume Designer brings together more than seventy of these costumes, from the 1930s to the 1960s, gleaned from the archives of Paramount, the Collection of Motion Picture Costume Design and other private collections.  Showing now until January 21, 2018.  10am to 5pm daily  http://sss.bendigoartgallery.com.au


Garden Lovers Fair 7th & 8th October – 10am to 4pm


The Garden Lovers Fair features 40 quality stall holders with an amazing range of plant treasures, gardening books, specialist and artisan garden tools, outdoor furniture and power equipment. The magnificent Bolobek garden will be open and the fair will host guest speakers and garden celebrities. Mica Grange Sculpture Exhibition and Open Garden

Now this is a must for lovers of gardens and sculptural art, described as the ‘merging the wonders of art with the beauty of garden’.
