Sarah Maclaine returns to The Grande

Sarah Maclaine is a singer/songwriter regularly performing on television, in cabaret, together with a wide range of music and sporting events and was for several years a featured artist on Good Morning Australia.  Sarah regularly appears at international jazz festivals and will be returning to perform with her trio in The Grande Hotel Dining Room.  This lady has the voice of an angel and moves effortlessly from pop to jazz, blues to r&b, disco to Latin. You name it, she does it.  It’s not just the patrons and the staff at The Grande she’s impressed. In 2004 singer Simon Le Bon of pop group Duran Duran strolled into the Deco Bar at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt hotel and heard Sarah singing. He introduced himself and went to get the rest of the band and they were still seated in front of Sarah and her pianist Steve Paix four hours later, requesting song after song. In 1999, she’d made a similar impact on Beatle George Harrison who was in Melbourne for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. During the band break, Harrison chatted with Sarah and personally thanked her for her performance of his song “Something.” Does it get any better than that for an artist?
